“Hard Damn Hitch” is the gritty comedic tale of a prison escapee
attempting to hitchhike home through the “treacherous” terrain of
southern New Jersey. While juggling the tasks of
slinking by the authorities and tolerating the people psychopathic enough
to pick up a man garbed in an orange jumpsuit and handcuffs, our hero has
to find the nerve and courage to make the long and arduous trip to
northern New Jersey.
This man’s name is Jonathan Coleman, and this is
his voyage of comedy intertwined with stark drama.
The closer Jon gets to his destination the harder his venture becomes.
Along with the harsh environment (that’s sarcasm if you are
not from Jersey), Jonathan has an unbelievably sharp and proficient team
of U.S.
marshals pursuing him. Through his journey Jon has to learn to adapt and outmaneuver
his trackers, or face the consequences of his two year sentence in
minimal security prison.
Hard Damn Hitch is a full-length PG-13 comedy film shot in the South Jersey area by Jason Krawczyk, 2005 Hope and
Dreams Best Student Film Winner. Filming and editing is complete. Post
production work is in progress with a completion date of early December
2006.
